It’s Time to Think Pink!
While October is the first full month of Fall, pink seems to overshadow all the lovely Autumn colors. Pink has taken on a new identity since becoming the color that represents the fight against Breast Cancer. Since October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it only makes sense that pink to be everywhere!
Before We Bid Summer Adieu…
Maybe it’s because I’m a July baby, or because I took classes all summer, or maybe it’s because I haven’t gotten my fill of the beach yet, but I am not ready to shun everything summery, warm, and wonderful yet. And thank goodness I don’t have to.
Olympic Obsession Anyone?
I don’t know about you but I am addicted to the London 2012 Olympic Games! Team USA is showing the world how it’s done and I’m loving every minute of it! I’m also loving the Gold, Silver, and Bronze trend that’s coming back around! Nothing makes me smile like beautiful shiny things!

The ruby is an iconic stone and for those lucky people born in July, it’s their birthstone. I’ve always loved the rich, red color of the ruby. Maybe it’s something from my childhood… watching The Wizard of Oz and Snow White may have influenced that some.
