In honor of Father’s Day, we would like to salute a few creative Dads that have shops here at Blue Moon. Meet Anthony Vivaldi, or Tony to anyone who’s had the pleasure to meet him. He has the shop A M Vivaldi Watercolors at Blue Moon. His work features local subjects of all kinds. Be sure to click on his collage of Wilmington to see if you can identify all the landmarks.

This is John Burchetta of Burchetta Glassblowing. You may remember him from his place downtown where he held regular glass blowing demonstrations. He still does them but now his work space is in Monkey Junction and his retail shop is located in Blue Moon. We were thrilled when he and his partner, Beth, decided to open a shop at Blue Moon. Seems like every time they stop in we see something new and even more beautiful than the time before.

Well I don’t have a picture of Dave Borton working but here is the sign from his shop that he made. (That’s pretty close, right?)  As you may have guessed, his shop at Blue Moon is Old School Wood Works. He shares the shop with his wife’s company, Basketful. Dave is a master craftsman and has been woodworking for years. Check out the bow he made of wood… yep, I said bow. So cool.
