We are thrilled to introduce Amanda Cousins to Blue Moon. Dreaming of a different life, Amanda left behind a corporate marketing career to become a metalsmith. After trading in her corporate suits and heels for a hammer and torch, Amanda Cousins Studio was born.
A lifetime of bottled up creativity is being forged, formed, and textured into the beautiful and original designs you see here.
Her 2014 collection is organic, modern, and naturally imperfect. The designs are intended to complement and enhance who you are and what you wear, but never dominate.
Here you will find pieces with casual sophistication that is sometimes rustic, sometimes refined, and always unique.
All work is handmade by Amanda in her Hillsborough, NC studio using traditional metal smith techniques that are often paired with contemporary mixed-media design.
Although Amanda has received some formal training, she is primarily a self-taught metalsmith who considers herself a constantly evolving, life-long student, in the art and techniques of jewelry design. We look forward to seeing all that is to come!
